OUTDOOR SOUND EMISSIONS

Today, alongside operator safety, the aim is also environmental protection – trying to reduce as far as possible every type of pollution linked with technological progress.

Within this framework, the manufacturers of equipment for outdoor use have been required by the Parliament of the European Community to comply with some regulations on noise emissions in the environment.

So, noisier machines have to comply with specific noise emission levels, whereas the traditionally less noisy machines have to declare their sound power levels.
The goal of the European Parliament is to stimulate users into choosing machines with the lowest emissions, in order to reduce the overall noise pollution in the environment.

That’s why, since January 2003, all scrubbing machines with a sweeping unit, and all sweeping machines, must bear a label stating their sound power emissions.
